Knowledge Transfer Partnership
In 2014 Austin Hayes entered into a Knowledge Transfer Partnership in conjunction with Leeds University, School of Chemistry and Innovate UK (Technology Strategy Board). A programme that pairs recent graduates with businesses over the course of a project to help the business improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance.
The associate chosen to undertake the 30 month project at Austin Hayes is Xiaoxia (Julia) Duan, a PhD graduate in Materials/Minerals Sciences and Technologies from Durham University.
The Project being undertaken was driven by the desire to satisfy increasing customer pressures to speed up the coating process. It will focus on developing innovative approaches to achieve this goal, whilst maintaining coating integrity and the company reputation for producing high quality coated components.
The KTP is a successful and rewarding experience for all participants and we have been thrilled to be involved
