M.D. Attends Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards

Last week our very own M.D. Julie Bickerdyke attended the Yorkshire, North East & Scotland regional heat of the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards as a nominee for the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Business of the Year award.

Julie was extremely humbled to once again be nominated for a prestigious business award, coming off the back or her and Technical Director, Tonia Parris’s nominations for Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards.

The Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards were established in 1999 with one aim – to unlock the potential in professional women. Forward Ladies is the UK’s premier forum for recognising and rewarding talented women across the entire country. As a member of Forward Ladies, Julie has attended regular events and has also had the opportunity to speak at one of their Power Business Breakfast Club events about her career journey and business issues encountered, which was met with praise and plenty of questions from the members in attendance.

While Julie was unsuccessful in winning the regional heat she has commented that the winner, Liz Towns-Andrews of 3M Buckley Innovation Centre was extremely well deserving and that in all it was a fantastic day and brilliant to be a part of.
