Bill Beckett – who lives in Queensbury, Bradford – spent nine years with Austin Hayes, who specialise in the refurbishment of munitions cases, and his retirement was marked with the presentation of a long service certificate, gifts and lunch with close colleagues at nearby Murgatroyds.

MOD Signs Partnering Agreement with Austin Hayes

Austin Hayes Limited, which has spent over 50 years specialising in recycling by refurbishing ammunition containers and munitions packaging, has signed a long term partnering agreement with the Ministry of Defence. The five year, £18.5 million contract, with options for a further five years, has the potential to be worth £40 million pounds over the next 10 years.

CDM Award for Outstanding Teamwork

At a prestigious ceremony held at the MOD Main Buildings, London Nik Vjestica (Managing Director) and Steve Graves (Production Director) alongside their colleagues from the Defence General Munitions PT and DSDA Longtown and were each awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Chief of Defence Material, General Sir Kevin O’Donoghue KCB CBE.
