Abrasive Blasting

We offer Abrasive Blasting solutions to remove corrosion and old coatings and prepare surfaces for subsequent treatments, using a variety of media such as steel shot, iron grit, garnet and plastic media. The process is also effective in preparing surfaces with a roughened profile, promoting the adhesion of specialist coatings.

For large components, shot blasting can provide you with substantial speed and cost savings over other cleaning methods. We can work to any blasting standard including SA2.5, accommodating a variety of shapes and sizes up to 11m x 7m x 5m in our large blast room. We also offer a smaller blast room used in our dry film division with dimensions of 5.8m x 2.3m x 2.3m.

Our plastic media blasting uses a specialized blend to our own recipe to expertly remove powder coating from ammunition containers in our 6 hand blast cabinets. In addition we have a large automated blast machine in our MOD department that can process 3,000 ammunition containers per shift using LG40 steel grit.
